Firstly, congratulations to APD Seoul 2024! I would like to express my admiration to the KPDA president and members for organizing such a spectacular packaging design event. I am deeply honored to receive the APD Outstanding Contribution Award. This recognition not only affirms my personal efforts but also celebrates the collective dedication of all members of the Taiwan Package Design Association. During my tenure as the president of the Taiwan Package Design Association, we faced numerous challenges, especially amid the pandemic. However, no matter how difficult the times were, we remained steadfast in our beliefs and continued to advance the association's development. Without the support of our directors, supervisors, and members, it would have been nearly impossible to keep moving forward. Moreover, in response to the global trend of carbon reduction, our association has intensified its efforts in exploring carbon-reducing packaging knowledge and is committed to promoting sustainable design concepts. This is our way of contributing to a better world. We will continue to inject new vitality into Taiwan's packaging design with creativity and passion, while deepening exchanges with international counterparts as we work together toward a more sustainable future. MORI Takaki 今回はAPD貢献賞をいただき、とても光栄に感じています。 私は17年間JPDAの理事を務めてきました。これは、私の大切な先輩方と理事会メンバーの助 言とサポート、そして私と一緒に働いてくれる委員会メンバーの助言とサポートがあったからです。 JPDAでの経験は何物にも代え難い私にとってまさに「宝物」です。 その中でも、国際交流理事として、APDに関わってきたことは、私にとっての誇りです。 「Asia × Package」の名のもとに集うAPDに参加する、KPDA、SPTA、TPDA、ThaiPDA、 そしてADGI、皆様と同じアジアの時代を共有していることを、大きな誇りに感じています。 APD2024ソウルは、6年ぶりのAPDであり非常に意義深いものです。 大好きなアジアの仲間との、ユニークな経験と真の国際交流が待っています。 一緒に学び、お互いを知り、楽しみましょう。 I am very honored to receive the APD Contribution Award. I have served on the JPDA Board of Directors for 17 years, credit to the advice and support of my valued seniors and board members, as well as the committee members with whom I had the pleasure to work with. My experience with JPDA has been a treasure that I would not trade for anything. Among the priceless memories, I am most proud to have been involved with APD as a Director for International Exchange. I am deeply humbled to have been able to share common experiences of building the era of Asia at APD (Asia x Package), together with KPDA, SPTA, TPDA, ThaiPDA, and ADGI, who join us. APD 2024 Seoul is very significant as it is the first APD held in 6 years. I look forward to meeting up with my best friends in Asia, in a truly unique experience and intercultural exchange. Somchana Kangwanjit (CHAMP) Prompt Design I am deeply honored to receive the APD Contribution Award. I graduated from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang with a degree in Industrial Design. In 2009, I founded Prompt Design, an agency dedicated to helping clients build brands and businesses by offering innovative design strategies and executions. The agency is ranked 15th in the Pentawards Top 20 All-Time Winners, a prestigious ranking based on the highest cumulative Pentawards score since 2007, out of 3,000 agencies worldwide. Additionally, I am one of the founders of the Thai Package Design Association (ThaiPDA) and served as its inaugural president. I played a key role in bringing ThaiPDA into the Asia Package Design (APD) since 2017, further elevating our association's standing on the global stage. A heartfelt thank you to all participating countries for your continued support of packaging design initiatives. Together, we are building a strong foundation for the future. Let us hope that this event thrives and inspires generations to come! |
